Need a simple love spell? You’ve come to the right place. Just to be clear, this is a so-called “white magic” ritual because it doesn’t focus on a particular person.
It’s a simple spell because there isn’t a fussy long list of ingredients. You probably have everything you need in your house. If not, a quick trip to a local store would take care of your spell needs. Magic doesn’t have to break the bank!
Before we get started, remember, magic follows the path of least resistance. If you don’t meet your soul mate tomorrow or the next day, or the day after that, don’t give up hope. You might not be ready, your lover might not be ready, or the universe has another plan for you.
A Word of Caution
I don’t recommend asking the goddess or the universe for a specific person. Instead, cast a wider net and be open to new opportunities.
Free will must always be respected. In my opinion, any relationship that began as a result of this kind of spell (meaning, asking for a specific person) would be doomed from the start. Read this post about what could go wrong for more information.
The colors red and pink symbolize love, so gather as many items in those two colors as you can. Grab some candles, flowers, jewelry, herbs, ribbons, pictures from a magazine, along with a piece of paper and a pen or pencil. Side note: lavender is my go-to herb for a love spell, but there are other alternatives here. You could also diffuse some essential oils in the air.
I sometimes use tarot cards as representations. For this spell, I’d recommend The Lovers or Two of Cups or even The Empress. As a side note, the Rider-Waite tarot deck is very heterosexual. Depending on your sexual orientation, you might want to look for other, more inclusive cards like the Modern Spellcaster’s tarot deck.
You could play a love song as well, as long as it won’t distract you. Literally, anything that reminds you of love and romance will work.
Essentially you are creating an altar for this ritual. I’d recommend placing these items on a flame-proof tray in your bedroom. You can burn the candles down until they are finished. Leave the piece of paper, with your “wish” list out, sprinkled with the herbs, candle wax, or another item from the spell.
Before you Begin
Clear a workspace for yourself. I always make sure the room is clean and neat before I begin. Wear something that makes you feel romantic or beautiful, just to boost your vibration. You need all the energy you can get to cast a spell.
For this ritual, ask the deity you pray to for assistance, or you could ask a love deity like Venus for help. For some assistance finding a helpful deity, check out Crash Course’s pantheons.
After you’ve cast the circle, lit the candles, and arranged your romantic items in a pleasing manner, start writing.
Ask the universe for your perfect mate. What does s/he look like? Sound like? Does he or she wear perfume or cologne? What are his or her hobbies? Be very specific!
Once you are done writing this out, visualize the person in your mind’s eye, create a mental image and hold onto it. Imagine what it would be like to hold her hand, kiss his mouth, etc. Make this image as real as you can in your mind.
Do you feel moved to say anything? I believe the words used in ritual, need to come from you, from your heart, in this case. What you say, needs to be infused with your power, and your own meaning.
When you’re finished, thank the goddess for her help, blow out the candles, fold the paper and place it on your makeshift altar. Then close the circle.
After the Spell
Continue sending energy toward your goal. Wear the jewelry you used in the ritual, light the candles and concentrate on the image of your lover.
If this doesn’t work right away, don’t lose hope. Once again, magic follows the path of least resistance. Perhaps this isn’t the right time to find your lover. Regardless, you’ve let the universe know what you are looking for. Eventually, this person will find his or her way to you.
Have you ever done a love spell before? If so, what was the result? If you haven’t, do you plan on giving this spell a try? Tell me in the comments.
